Recommended Resources for the Modern Homesteader

Introductory Permaculture Books

Advanced Permaculture Books

Bill Mollison. 1988. Permaculture: a Designers Manual. Targari Press. This book is a treasure and should be easily available to everyone, but the publishers are shamelessly selling at premium price. So, forget them and find a free PDF version. They’re easy to find.

Dave Jacke. 2005. Edible Forest Gardens. Chelsea Green Publishing. Both volumes are excellent, but they are expensive. Again, shameless marketing at work. If you must choose, purchase Volume II (2!).

Barbara and Ken Kern. 2016. The Owner-built Homestead. Echo Point Books and Media. Originally printed in 1961, this prize is back in print!
